Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN to join our team Maintains scopes, performs sterilization of instruments and other equipment. Assists surgical techs in daily routine. Cleans and disinfects the perioperative area as needed.

HOURS: This position is occasional/as needed; 0 FTE. Day Shift. Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of aseptic techniques Attention to detail Surgical instrument terminology High School Diploma or equivalent, and previous sterile processing experience preferred.

Obtains certification for "Technician Sterile Processing Roles and Responsibilities" immediately following one year of experience in the department. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day.
