Requirements:
High School Diploma required
Experience in Sterile Processing Dept recommended
Must obtain certification to be a registered sterile processing tech within 18 mos. of hire
Current BLS from the AHA or ARC
About the Job:
Sterilizes, cleans, wraps, stores and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment used in patient care.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Typically reports to a supervisor. High school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience.
Certification required within 18 months of hire. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
