Sterile Processing Tech- Prn-Call Required

Job Description

As the Sterile Processing Tech you'll sterilize, clean, wrap, store and distribute supplies, instruments, and equipment used in an operating room setting. Provide indirect patient care by preparing and processing supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures. Maintain inventory of sterile and stock supplies. Maintain cleanliness of department and autoclaves. Complete sterilization logs and records.

Reports to the Clinical Coordinator and the Director of Surgical Services.

Requirements:

• Current BLS from the AHA or ARC, prior to hire
• Candidate must obtain certification within 12 months of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of related experience
• Sterile Processing Certification at minimum
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• On-call required
