Sterile Processing Tech III, Nights 11:00pm to 7:30am
Overview:
As a Central Sterile Processing Technician 3, you'll play a pivotal role in our Sterile Processing Department, independently handling core responsibilities under the guidance of our Clinical Operations Supervisor. This position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborative Functions:
Serve as a mentor to junior technicians, ensuring skill development and adherence to protocols.
Coordinate workflow efficiently to meet departmental needs.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cross-functional work groups.
Decontamination and Cleaning:
Utilize appropriate PPE for safety.
Receive, sort, and decontaminate equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Select and employ manual and automated cleaning tools effectively.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Assembly and Packaging:
Document all work in tracking software.
Inspect, assemble, and package equipment following guidelines.
Identify missing items and escalate issues as needed.
Ensure proper labeling and packaging methods.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Required: At least Three (3) years direct experience performing all Sterile Processing functions within an operative setting.
Preferred: Experience gained in a large Academic Medical Center or Trauma Center.
Certificate: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Working Conditions:
Must be able to regularly lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to perform duties in accordance with safety protocols.
