Sterile Processing Supervisor

Sterile Processing Supervisor at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA. This is a full-time position.

Under the general supervision of the Administrative Director, Perioperative Services, the Supervisor of Sterile Processing Dept. (SPD) provides supervision support to the SPD staff and is expected to coordinate, and oversee the material and human resources in alignment with AORN, AAMI and CDC guidelines/ standards. This individual possesses demonstrated leadership ability and experience in decontamination, assembly, processing and sterilization of instruments/trays and equipment for a full array of sterilizing methods; additionally, he/she has the full knowledge of regulations related to the monitoring and validation process of sterilized items.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Medical terminology course. Or equivalent educ/experience prior earned knowledge via experience.
• within 30 days of hire: California Fire and Life Safety Card

• National Organization.

• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution. Or

• upon hire: National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor

• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or

• upon hire: National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors

• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution. Or

• upon hire: National Certified Healthcare Leader

• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or

• upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist

• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or

• upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician

• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or

• upon hire: National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist

• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution. Or

• upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician

• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution. Or

• upon hire: National Management in Sterile Processing

• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Surgery experience as a surgical technician.
• 3 years Central Sterile experience as a department Supervisor.
