• Soin Medical Center has been serving residents of Greene, Western Clark, Eastern Montgomery, and Miami counties since 2012.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Excellent opportunity for the sterile processing tech who would like to grow their career into a supervisory level role.

This position has unit responsibility for:

• Overseeing care and maintenance of all instrumentation, containers and equipment used in the decontamination process;

• The preparation and delivery of all case carts for operating rooms, room supplies and supplies for clean cores.

• The delivery of accurate and complete instrument trays to the operating rooms and other departments within the hospital, and for managing the delivery and processing of all loaner implant and instrument trays

• Staffing, scheduling, evaluations and accountability of staff members.

Additional Job Information:

• The hours for the selected candidate will vary.

• This is a working supervisor position.

• Selected candidate will act as a liaison between the operating room and sterile processing.

• Experience in sterile processing is required.

• Knowledge of instrument tracking system is preferred.

• Certification is preferred.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education

• High School graduate a minimum. 2-4 year college degree or working towards a degree preferred.
• A Certification in CRCST by IAHCSMM is preferred, otherwise achieve certification one year post employment

Minimum Work Experience

• Three years' experience in surgical services environment.

• Knowledge of surgical procedures and have complete knowledge of instruments/supplies used in the Operating Room.

• Understand and practice principles of safety in Sterile Processing.

• Working knowledge of infection control principles and OSHA/EPA regulations.

• Flexible and innovative personality to cope with constant change.
