Key responsibilities of this role include:
Operating and maintaining steam autoclaves, keeping records of loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures
Cleaning instruments to prepare them for sterilization
Recording sterilizer test results
Organizing and assembling routine or specialty surgical instrument trays or other sterilized supplies, filling special requests as needed
Examining equipment to detect leaks, worn or loose parts, or other indications of disrepair
Key qualifications to be considered for this include:
High School Diploma or GED required
Monitoring and quality control
