Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Operating and maintaining steam autoclaves, keeping records of loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures

  • Cleaning instruments to prepare them for sterilization

  • Recording sterilizer test results

  • Organizing and assembling routine or specialty surgical instrument trays or other sterilized supplies, filling special requests as needed

  • Examining equipment to detect leaks, worn or loose parts, or other indications of disrepair

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
