Responsibilities

We are in search of a skilled Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse to closely monitor the health of patients in our progressive care unit. You will be responsible for assessing changes in cardiac and other vital signs, starting life-saving interventions, and administering medication dose titration.

To guarantee success, the Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse must: conduct assessments of patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, respiratory status, and overall clinical stability, you will need to monitor changes in patients' conditions and respond promptly to any deterioration; utilize telemetry and other monitoring devices to continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure, and be willing to learn to recognize and interpret abnormalities in monitoring data; administer medications as directed by physicians, encompassing intravenous medications, antibiotics, pain management medications, and cardiac medications, while vigilantly monitoring patients for any adverse reactions or side effects; perform nursing interventions and treatments as ordered by physicians, such as wound care, catheter care, suctioning, and administration of oxygen therapy, which may include assisting with procedures; and adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines, hospital policies, and protocols related to patient care, infection control, and safety.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State. 2.BCLS upon hire and maintain current.

3.Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 4.ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
