Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate Negotiable Salary Band: FA NA Job Summary/Basic Function:

• Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.

• Create a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.

• Maintain a safe and orderly environment.

• Maintain established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned.

• Provide intervention support for students with special needs as directed by the an Intervention Specialist.

• Remain at school the entire school day, unless otherwise instructed to leave by a building administrator.

• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

• Maintain reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.

• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated.

• Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom.

• Keep teachers or teams informed of special needs or problems of individual students.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess or qualify for Ohio Teaching License (Regular or Alternative) or possess or qualify for Ohio Substitute Teacher License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in K-12 schools.

Essential Functions and percent of time:

80% - Serve as substitute for STEM School staff on an as needed basis

20% - Other duties as assigned

This is a grant funded position with continuation dependent on funding. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply.
