MSX International is currently seeking a STEAM Program Coordinator. The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:

  • Will be responsible for supporting the STEAM Manager and staff to facilitate the STEAM programs for the corporate STEAM department

  • Leading the management of the STEAM newsletter

  • Liaising with organizations funded by the STEAM budget

  • Supporting the coordination of the STEAM volunteer events on the STEAM website as well as the company volunteer site

  • Supporting the maintenance of info/data on SharePoint, the internal website and the internal company Hub

  • Supporting Strategic Priority Work-stream leads as needed

  • Lead/support STEAM events hosted by the company or the associated STEAM partners

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work with SharePoint

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Some understanding of data and charts

  • Self-motivated and process-oriented

  • Experience working with Foundation/Universities in managing STEM or related programs

  • Some (1-2 years) project management experience

  • Some experience with handling data, reports and metrics

  • Some (1-2 years) experience with managing volunteer events

  • Some experience with office management and administrative duties

Skills Preferred:

  • Database/website management

  • Advanced experience with SharePoint pages

  • Some experience working with cross-functional and/or global teams

  • Website page development experience (HTML/SharePoint)

  • Some experience with global teams

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Responsibilities: * Develop STEAM global strategy for Ford Motor Company * Strategize and redesign Ford's global STEAM program * Establish and lead funding and investment strategy for the STEAM program; working closely with Ford Fund * Drive a robust governance process, including Executive and Advisory Councils * Ensure STEAM student pipeline is feeding into FCG / recruiting full time hires * Represents Ford Enterprise, including Product Development, Research and Advanced Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Marketing, etc. * Manage the development and implementation of the STEAM return on investment and pipeline database * Manage corporate STEAM budget * Refine program evaluation criteria and evaluate current and possible future programs for inclusion in the Ford STEAM Pipeline, maintaining a holistic and strategic view of the pipeline. * Drive connections along pipeline between STEAM programs and the different Ford skill teams * Connects STEAM strategy to Ford Corporate CTO strategy * Identify and establish strategic STEAM partnerships with external companies and STEAM organizations including: * Universities * Local and Federal Government agencies * Other STEAM specific programs * Establish and communicate value proposition to Ford for each strategic partnership * Maintain other External partnership relationships; be the Ford liaison to these organizations. Including but not limited to: USCAR/USDRIVE, FISITA, National Labs, EUCAR, SAE * Complete External Partnership Analysis * Create Government Portfolio including strategy for the company * Research and Advanced Engineering Recruiting Coordination and Management Basic Qualifications * Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree * 2+ years of experience creating and executing strategic direction and building programs from the ground up * 2+ years of experience with STEAM programs and knowledge of STEAM technologies and academic degrees Preferred Qualifications: * Master or Higher Degree Preferred * Strong interpersonal skills, project management skills, some IT background managing databases is preferred * High energy, self-starter, with ability and desire to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision. * Ability and courage to effectively communicate key issues and recommendations to senior management. * Ability to work within a very diverse (culturally and functionally) environment. * High integrity with good attitude and excellent communication skills.
