General Purpose of Job:

Working as part of a team to provide quality patient care and assist with the daily functions of the physician clinic.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

• Assist with patients

• Take vital signs

• Enter data in electronic medical record

• Maintain/Stock clinic supplies and exam room

• Patient assistance program for applicable patient

• Clean surgical equipment

• Clerical and other duties assigned by the Manager of Patient Care the essential duties of the job beginning with the most important

Job Requirements

Education • High School Diploma, (2) GED or (3) the successful completion of twelve grades combined with the continued enrollment in an Early College Program • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Cardio Tech, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN program Specialized Knowledge and Skills Required: • Mobility required • Ability to work as part of a team to provide quality patient care • Demonstrates a positive team attitude and has interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with clients, families, providers, and co-workers • Necessary visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient's condition and operate department equipment Preferred: • RMA/CMA preferred • 6 months of clinical experience preferred • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
