Position Overview:

Adaptive is seeking a thoughtful scientist who is enthusiastic about statistics, genetics, and improving human health. We're looking for someone who excels at statistical inference, data analysis, and communicating results to diverse audiences.

You will join a highly collaborative Computational Biology group that conducts analyses to support key decisions within the company. Outstanding candidates will have demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and evaluate probabilistic models of experimental processes for data generation

  • Develop working prototypes of inference methods for transfer to production software engineers

  • Collaborate with wet lab scientists to design experiments and analyze data

  • Present results to a wide variety of stakeholders, from wet lab scientists to clinicians to executive team members

  • Be a Problem Solver: communicate well, ask questions, proactively eliminate bottlenecks, and be the person people go to when they want a job done right

Required Experience:

  • Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or related field

  • Proficiency in at least one common coding language (R, python, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience in presenting technical material to diverse audiences
