Ripple Effect works with federal, private, and non-profit clients to support some of the most crucial policies and programs that shape our nation. For this position, we are looking for someone with the breadth and depth to work with our Federal clients at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Job Description

Ripple Effect is seeking a part-time Statistical Consultant to join our Research & Evaluation team to work under our Director of Research and Evaluation on a variety of research and program evaluation projects at NIH, CMS, and various other clients. The ideal candidate should be familiar with biomedical research and the NIH grant process, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a variety of skills. Job responsibilities include data analysis, statistical modeling, and analytical writing. This flexible position will call on the candidate to support evaluation projects based on the companys business needs and candidate availability, which may vary week-to-week and month-to-month.

Project tasks may include:

  • Provide statistical expertise for a wide-range of research and evaluation projects (e.g., surveys, portfolio and program data, large administrative datasets, secondary data)
  • Recommend quantitative methodology and create quantitative analysis plans to address research and evaluation questions
  • Perform advanced statistical analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of policies and programs
  • Provide analytic support for administrative data requests, reports, and presentations
  • Compile or review study findings for technical reports and presentations
  • Provide data visualization, such as graphs, graphics, and infographics, based on study findings
  • Assist in writing publications on the results of data analyses
  • Provide mentorship and training to other quantitative analysts, including review of, and feedback on their work
  • Contribute writing and technical support for proposal writing to support business development efforts
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Masters degree in statistics, analytics, data science, or related field
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate experience
  • Expertise in advanced statistical analyses and modeling, such as regression, factor analysis, time series analyses, propensity score matching, structural equation modeling, and latent variable modeling
  • Advanced Stata, SAS, or SPSS expertise and experience (Stata strongly preferred)
  • Experience leading small or large teams to analyze research or program evaluation data
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and know when to seek assistance
  • Demonstrated strength in written communication skills, including professional emails
  • Ability to use innovative, creative approaches when necessary (to meet novel needs and/or solve problems)
  • Ability to work productively in web-based systems to accomplish tasks (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint)
  • Must work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and organize information for multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, relying on your own resources and initiative
  • Exceptional oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with external clients, senior management, and staff

Preferred Skills

  • PhD in statistics, analytics, data science, or related field
  • Prior experience with NIH projects and work across a variety of NIH data systems (e.g., QVR, IMPAC II, iSearch, IN-SPIRE)
  • Experience with MPlus, R, SQL, and/or Python
  • Knowledge of public health, health, or science to assess the effectiveness of programs in these areas (particularly NIH programs), or expertise in educational assessment and evaluation
  • Experience with quantitative analysis of publications data or bibliometrics
  • Experience with social network analyses
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

JDA Software is currently seeking a Technical Consultant to join our Global Technical Services team. This position will report to the Sr Technical Director. The Technical Consultant is a virtual role with 75% travel. Responsibilities * Works with the project team to understand and help to refine and define project technical requirements from technical specifications. * Diagnoses technical and business expectations on a project. * Optimizes JDA profit margin through quality design, minimizing unprofitable rework and post-implementation support. * Works with the customer team in the design, development, testing and implementation phases of the project. * Works with the customer's MIS team to manage the technical activities of each implementation phase of the assigned project. * Participates in customer liaison activities to ensure project success. * Provides estimates to project managers of complex work and resource requirements. * Provides leadership to small technical teams as necessary. * Assists in resolution of problems escalated by the customer or other JDA associates. * Consults with customers/associates concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems. * Escalates issues that may have negative scheduling or financial impact. * Estimates specifications accurately. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree.
