Job Summary

Job Summary

Operate heating plant to provide steam for campus, monitor energy management system. Make changes to scheduled events and set points when required.

Demonstrates the importance of customer satisfaction. Represents the University in a professional manner. This position works in accordance with all regulations adapted by the State of Minnesota pertaining to Minnesota State Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes. Answer emergency phone calls and call maintenance people (in for overtime) when situations require.


Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota 1st class Grade B Steam Engineers license, or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess basic knowledge of safety rules and regulations.

  • Ability to lift, stair and ladder climbing are involved with tasks to be performed.

  • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.

Additional Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

The Global Information Security Organization is hiring a Cyber Security Engineer to expand our threat detection and prevention capabilities. Based out of Paris, France the Cyber Security Engineer will ensure Kyriba's systems and electronic data are protected from internal and external threats. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Conduct cyber threat analysis and response * Develop and maintain key metrics and trending reports for incidents/events detected from SIEM, IDS, EDR, DLP, anti-malware, and other security tools * Create custom rules and tune existing rules, policies and alerts within all security tools * Update various levels of management based on incident, threat, and risk factors * Create and enhance existing procedures to improve operational efficiencies and reporting accuracy * Identify gaps in protection and propose preventative or detective mitigations * Provide input to the department strategy on data protection, malware detection, network security, forensics, logging and monitoring, and related functional areas * Maintain awareness of emerging threats to data protection, system integrity, and network availability * Evaluate, architect and implement new security products and technologies * Develop, review and maintain documentation for security systems and procedures Preferred Qualifications: * 1-3 years in an Information Security role * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Cyber Security or a related field * 1-3 years of SIEM, DLP, EDR, and/or Threat Intelligence operational experience * Have used or implemented the above technologies in some capacity, understanding incident response, logging, analysis, policy drivers, rules, etc * Experience managing complex hardware and software deployments related to security tools * Coding/Scripting experience (e.g. Python, PowerShell) * Strong verbal communications skills and concise written communication skills * Must be able to effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non- technical/general terminology * Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills * Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and senior management * Possess current industry security certifications such as the CISSP, GIAC or SSCP with Security Operations Center specific certifications such as GCIA and GCIH being a plus Kyriba Culture and Values At Kyriba, we value a strong work culture and sense of community and ownership among our global team.
