Job Summary

Job Summary

Operate heating plant to provide steam for campus, monitor energy management system. Make changes to scheduled events and set points when required.

Demonstrates the importance of customer satisfaction. Represents the University in a professional manner. This position works in accordance with all regulations adapted by the State of Minnesota pertaining to Minnesota State Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes. Answer emergency phone calls and call maintenance people (in for overtime) when situations require.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota 1st class Grade B Steam Engineers license, or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess basic knowledge of safety rules and regulations.

  • Ability to lift, stair and ladder climbing are involved with tasks to be performed.

  • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.

Additional Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

You will be involved in all areas to effectively provide video surveillance, card access and other solutions to customers. You are responsible for design, management, administration and integration of products, services, applications along with configuration of software and hardware. You will handle responsibilities from basic system installations to the overall architecture and design of custom solutions. Main Responsibilities: (includes frequent travel to clients sites with occasional overnight stays) * Programming and training of March Networks, Milestone, Pivot, VMS, Command Professional, Command Enterprise, Open Options and Avigilon Security Systems in addition to other supporting solutions * Perform demos and training of all of Marcos Physical Security offerings * Installation, support and maintenance of video surveillance and card access products and systems to completion * Integrate and/or consolidate services between different client systems and technologies * Design archive and backup systems while working closely with clients technical staff to ensure that backup and archiving designs and procedures are implemented properly * Develop and follow Marco best practices, operational procedures and create visual and written documentation * Provide on-call support advice and technical support to various users/clients regarding operational/applications issues * Install new and/or upgraded equipment on client platforms * Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems * Stay up to date with relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems * Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client orientated team including development of process and procedures along with SOW refinements * Verify that systems and equipment conform to specifications and client requirements * Accurately maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures in a timely basis to include pick tickets, project manager daily update, collecting client signatures and time entry * Plan and manage projects independently onsite * Create and provide CAD drawings and submittals * Maintain parts inventory * Perform on-call rotation for after Marco business hours * Attend required company and departmental meetings * Perform other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor Required Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience or equivalent experience * Current industry recognized certifications EEO/AA Marco Technologies Saint Cloud MN
