Job Description and Duties
Real Estate Management is looking for a Stationary Engineer to provide maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, airconditioning, life safety, building control systems, typical facility systems and other daily maintenance activities for State Fund's Vacaville Campus.
The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships, provide quality customer service in a timely manner, follow State Fund's Equal Employment Opportunity principles, establish and maintain safe work practices, and defend State Fund against fraudulent activities.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience operating and maintaining commercial building systems including boilers, chillers, air handlers, refrigeration
systems, uninterrupted power supply systems, generators, cooling towers, pumps, fans, lighting and basic understanding of electricity
Knowledge of and experience with Automated Logic Control systems
Effective oral and written communication skills
Work accurately and efficiently under pressure
Adapt to a variety of different assignments and deal with daily multiple priorities
Ability to meet deadlines
Work independently and manage time effectively
Demonstrate poise, tact, and resourcefulness in dealing with a wide variety of people
Work harmoniously with others in a professional manner and as a team player
Regular attendance
Ability to travel, as required
Candidate must possess valid EPA Certification.
New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.

Working Conditions

State Fund has adopted telework for employees who can effectively perform their essential work functions remotely. However, this is an essential position and telework is not available.
