Stationary Engineer

Works under the supervision of Director, Plant Operations and/or Assistant Chief Engineer. The Engineer as directed, shall observe, adjust, record, repair, inspect, install and maintain equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Performs scheduled preventive maintenance from monthly work schedules.

Repairs or replaces malfunctioning equipment.

Maintains inventory of materials, tools, and tool accessories, etc.

Performs related duties including, but not limited to, maintain departmental records, maintain safe, clean work area, maintain safe equipment rooms and supply areas, keep tools in good repair and instruments calibrated.

Performs unscheduled maintenance and repairs when equipment fails to operate. Properly responds to service calls as directed.

Education: Work requires knowledge generally acquired through a high school education or GED.

Licensure: None.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a related field.

The hourly rate for this position is $66.44. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
