This position involves highly independent technical work in the analysis and development of procedures and technical specifications for improved work flow utilizing automated systems. Full time position
Responsibilities include various duties involving computer equipment and software, computer support, computer programming, troubleshooting, and end user support. Position involves monitoring and prioritizing support desk ticketing system and closing out support requests as soon as possible. Position requires ability to install and test computers, printers, networking equipment, and peripherals. Must be able to analyze and identify problem areas and take action to resolve all IT problems.
Position also involves assisting State Prosecutors in the prosecution of criminal cases by assisting in the creation and/or editing of PowerPoint briefings and assisting in the display of and redactions of photos, video, and audio recordings.
The primary duties of this position can best be described in three different categories: IT support, Trial Support, and Evidence Preparation.
Maintain integrity of all technical equipment.
Maintain security of network and confidential information.
Resolve all tech support requests.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, server & Active Directory issues.
Grant users appropriate file permissions.
Setup new equipment and properly dispose of old equipment.
Install and maintain printers, maintain printer supply inventory.
Maintain equipment inventory.
Document procedures when appropriate.
Assist with any other technical issues.
Provide immediate assistance with any technical issues during trial.
Create and edit PowerPoint presentations to be used in trial.
Setup support equipment before and during trial.
Manage and maintain trial carts, speakers, laptops, monitors, projectors, Elmo, iPads, etc.
Redactions of photos, audio and video files.
Troubleshoot technical issues with viewing digital evidence.
Convert file types to usable formats.
Duplicate CD/DVDs, Thumb Drives, Hard Drives.
Recreate drawings and schematics.
Create/edit/print maps for evidence.
Capture & edit evidence: perpetual testimonies, audio recordings, & photo evidence.
Minimum Training and Experience Required:
Candidates must have working knowledge of IT standards, security and system software and knowledge of how IT/networks function. Incumbent must also have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Must work well with limited supervision, work well with others, and demonstrate a working knowledge of current computer practices.
