Regular Full-time, Pay Grade 36
These individuals must possess very good technical and trouble shooting skills and be able to react calmly in highly stressful situations. These individuals will be Facilities Service's response team to get new researchers in operation and provide solutions for existing researchers.
This team must also be able to learn, apply, and teach various predictive and proactive maintenance applications including but not limited to, vibration and thermal analysis. Must be able to learn computer applications. Must be willing to be trained to multi-disciplined capabilities.
Must be able to work well with others. Must have good communications skills to be able to effectively interact with all members of the Campus community including: staff, faculty, administration, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Contributes to the overall success of Facilities Services by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High school degree (or GED) required.
Valid Tennessee Driver's License required.
(4) Four years of experience or trade school and experience. (Experience my substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.)
Applicant must be able to wear a respirator.
The applicant should have the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, staff, all university personnel, visitors, contractors and vendors; also, work with others in a respectful, cooperative manner. Applicant should be reliable in attendance, clean and neat in appearance, be in good physical health and able to perform moderately strenuous work activities. Applicant should have the ability to climb ladders, work in high places, noisy environments and flashing lights.
