Providence is calling a Staffing/Timekeeping Specialist (Per Diem, Variable) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

The Staffing/Timekeeping Specialist is a staffing and administrative support position responsible for timekeeping, daily staffing coordination and reconciliation, and support of the nursing units within the hospital.

In this position you will:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and use common office software and office equipment; knowledge of filing, record keeping, data systems; ability to maintain records, file, and retrieve variety of documents.

  • Have the ability to use sound critical thinking skills in problem solving in staffing and timekeeping needs to best support the clinical departments.

  • Deliver great customer service while under pressure; must be able to communicate effectively with nursing directors, managers, and staff; must be organized and able to keep accurate records.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in all work; review documents for accuracy, content, and conformance requirements.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong customer service skills and have the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and participate in decision-making process.

  • Demonstrate initiative to participate in educational development opportunities, project and team functions while expanding knowledge of the areas served.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Two (2) years of clerical experience

  • Proficiency in computer usage, data entry, excellent communication skills

  • Expert knowledge of general office practices and ability to learn and adhere to pay practices according to union contracts and human resources

  • College Coursework

As a Supervisor for this unit, you will evaluate performance, provide guidance, and promote teamwork and employee engagement. In this role, you will provide support to attorneys, law enforcement, courts, and the public by responding to inquiries and resolving issues and complaints regarding paid and unpaid citations. You will also be responsible for supervising, coaching, mentoring and handling all personnel issues in absence of the manager.
