MAU is hiring Staffing Specialist in Greenville, SC. As a Staffing Specialist, you will process work orders from customers, recruiters, screens, orients, and hire personnel to work at client sites based on order specifications. You will be tasked with working closely with clients to ensure the following safe work environments for our workforce, legal compliance in hiring/firing, and new placements of quality candidates.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 - 3+ year of human resource and recruiting experience

Essential Functions

  • Hire, supervise, counsel, evaluate, discipline, and recommend changes in employee status

  • Consistently orient/on-board new associates to standards established for each customer

  • Administer company policies and procedures

  • Maintain applicant flow through placement of ads, development of recruiting sources, and analysis of weekly and monthly recruiting source reports

  • Regularly review work orders and interact with customers

  • Develop and update orientations for new and current clients

  • Set up new pay and bill rates with manager approval

  • Administer assessments as required by client

  • Receive, process, and analyze work orders from customers

  • Process merit, tenure, or incentive increases

  • Submit Billing Source Documents as appropriate for each customer

  • Communicate and resolve with customer any invoice non-payment

  • Manage cases of injured employees during work hours to include accident investigation and completion of Accident/Injury Report and Worker's Compensation Packet

  • Attend unemployment and workers' comp hearings

  • Maintain excellent level of customer service by visiting client site at predetermined level

  • Maintain excellent level of customer service by establishing predetermined levels of candidates in Kanban pools to ensure quick turnaround for job orders

  • Perform other tasks as assigned

This position can supervise the following positions:

  • MAU Associates

  • Administrative Support

Work Environment or Working Conditions

  • Operate in a professional office environment

  • Routinely use standard office equipment

  • Occasional presence at customer sites, both in administrative and manufacturing environments

Physical Demands

This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to lift 5 - 20 pounds periodically and 50 pounds on occasion

  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 4 hours

  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day

Travel

  • Limited travel will be required
