Position Description
Harris County is transforming the way we do government and is seeking a Recruiting Professional with experience in a high volume environment.
As the Staffing Lead, you will lead the team that is charged with the staffing and recruitment of Harris County employees in the Justice and Safety arena. You will lead the effort to ensure that sourced candidates progress through the selection and hire process, ensuring that talent pipelines are sufficient to meet the demands of hiring departments, established policies and procedures are adhered too, and that candidates have an exceptional experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the High-Volume Staffing Team
Work to ensure that bottlenecks are cleared from the selection process and that candidates are timely progressing through the selection process
Provide insight and feedback for process improvement opportunities
Maintain correct process information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Ensure candidates receive timely, thoughtful and engaging messaging throughout the hiring process
Source candidates through various sources to ensure a healthy pipeline to meet recruitment need
Provides direction & implementation for high volume recruiting efforts including formulation of Recruitment and staffing strategy
Develop a bench as needed, to meet standards established by departments with high-volume needs and for positions with high-turnover
Develop an organized pipeline of candidates and maintain their hiring statuses in the ATS
Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, recruiters, social media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits

Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college/university
Four (4) years of high-volume recruiting experience
Experience may substitute for the required education
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment and can provide suggestions for how we can iterate on our processes
Ability to utilize data to make decisions on pipelines to utilize for the sourcing of candidates
Knowledge of recruitment and sourcing methodology in a high volume environment.
Knowledge of human resources principles and recruiting practices
Skilled at using Applicant Tracking Skills (ATS) and other social media outlets for candidate sourcing
Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
Knowledge of Harris County organizational and Human Resources Function Structure
Ability to think both critically and creatively around sourcing challenges
