TheStaffing Coordinator / Scheduleris responsible for the staffing of CNAs and Licensed Nurses. This position works closely with the DON to ensure appropriate staffing as the needs arise. The Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Maintain master/daily and monthly schedules
  • Maintain open position report
  • Assist with recruitment of CNAs and Licensed Nurses
  • Coordinate hiring of new staff with Human Resources
Candidate must have the following:
  • Ability to relate and build relationship with staff and coworkers.
  • Must have working knowledge of how to schedule staff
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Must have 2 years experience scheduling Home Health, LTC or Hospital setting
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred

VIEW JOBS 12/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-11T00:00 SUMMARY: Working under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Day Camp Coordinator assists with the overall management and supervision of the camp program and staff. Ability to work independently and under the general direction of the Recreation Supervisor. Incumbent must exhibit professionalism while performing daily activities. Work is reviewed for achievement of desired results and adherence to policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Assists with the planning and implementation of the summer day camp program * Coordinates weekly field trips and contractual entertainers * Provides camp leaders with details of each trip/entertainer prior to the event so staff can plan accordingly, and communicates schedule changes in a timely manner * Supports camp leaders in the implementation of behavior management procedures * Communicates with parents of campers regarding updates, feedback, discipline, etc. * Purchases and coordinates the distribution of supplies and food items * Tracks expenses and maintains documentation of all camp purchases * Coordinates, designs, and distributes weekly newsletters and calendars for each camp * Coordinates specialty food Fridays and the weekly award ceremony * Assists with the planning and implementation of complementary programs, including the parent orientation night and family picnic * Manages paperwork including, but not limited to, sign-in/out sheets, field trip directions, supply request forms, friendship request forms, field trip feedback forms, allergy forms, camper data forms, permission slips/waivers, receipts * Serves as staff liaison to bus company as needed * Complies with all Village Policies, Protocols, and Procedures * Performs other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position requires management responsibilities of a supervisory nature. Incumbents must be proficient in basic concepts relating to personnel management. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: This position requires a completed or in-progress bachelors degree and one to two years of related experience. CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications required prior to the start of camp. COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn how to print rosters and look up information in the RecTrac registration system. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to compose and prepare reports and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITIES: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Ability to work with children * Ability to prioritize duties and complete tasks within allotted hours * Understanding of the principles, practices, and objectives of Parks and Recreation administration and recreation programming * Ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously * Commitment to promoting the positive image and growth of the Day Camp program PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
