One of ITAC's best Birmingham-based clients is seeking to hire multiple Entry Level Recruiters to meet the high-volume needs of their business! Day to day responsibilities for this position include the following:

What youll be doing (duties of this position):

Identifying candidates available for high-volume, fast-paced customer-facing roles.
Reaching out to contract employees to engage and deploy them to customer work sites.
Spending a significant amount of time over the phone to fulfill the above duties.
Working with a team of other Recruiters with a shared goal of meeting the customers' needs.

The ideal candidate will have plenty of flexibility to work overtime during busy season. This person must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of professionalism!
What youll need to be considered (requirements):

Prior recruiting experience or experience in a high-volume call center environment is a plus
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Provides professional and technical support for the Human Resources Division's development programs to ensure achievement of company and divisional goals and objectives. Works directly with employees and departments to provide a supportive and effective environment where employees can develop their skills to enhance their proficiency and effectiveness in their current roles and grow into future advanced roles for the mutual benefit of the Company and the individual. Leads the effort to capture all training records in the LMS system. * Identifies skill or knowledge gaps among the organization's employee population and develops training content in response to identified training needs. Selects training tools or training delivery mechanisms, based on the material being taught and the audience being targeted. Duties include analysis of development/training needs, development and implementation of training plans and procedures in response to those specific needs, preparation of all necessary training materials, and facilitate, monitor external instructors, assessing the impact of training programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter. * Formulates teaching outlines and determines appropriate instructional method such as individual training, group instruction, lecture, demonstration, coaching, conference, meeting, workshop, etc. Assists also with the selection and/or development of teaching aids such as training handbooks, computer tutorials, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and reference work. * Creates and maintains course content, manuals, or other training materials, as needed. Coordinates guest trainers or subject matter experts (SMEs). Assesses the impact of training programs by measuring employee understanding of the subject matter. * Serves as the primary department administrator of the learning management system (LMS) and conducts training classes for the LMS. Coordinates with the HRIS Analyst on enhancements to and reporting needs from the LMS. Orders from vendors all books and material needed for Eagan College classes. Maintains all information regarding courses, classes, and materials in the LMS. Facilitates movement toward all training records being captured in the LMS system. * Ensures that the pre-apprentice screening and selection process meets department's apprentice needs. Monitors the status of eligible candidate pool and modifies action plans as appropriate. Develops an assessment schedule and targeted interview appointment schedule as needed. Plans, coordinates, and facilitates activities through the development of an acceptable candidate pool and the timely implementation of pre-apprentice selection procedures. Responsible for a full-range of data records in connection with this project. Generates Apprentice Program reports regarding the Apprentice Assessment Center, Apprentice Interviews & Feeback. Ensures that above mentioned activities meet all company guidelines and are legally defensible. Analyzes and interprets assessment/targeted interview data and make recommendations for program enhancements. * Coordinates the apprentice training program. Ensures that all activities of the apprentice training program conform to both Company policy and outside vendor standards. Makes recommendations for program enhancement as needed. Reviews pre-apprentice and/or apprenticeship training materials along with the appropriate company officials and outside vendors to upgrade courses as required to meet Company standards. Duties include monitoring apprentice trainees in classroom and responding to their questions, administering written and practical exams, writing performance reports that reflects the progress and course grades of participants. Maintains apprentice records and tracks the trainees' progress. Responsible for calculating and reporting the time to the Time Office that the Apprentice spends taking tests and studying in the Apprentice Room. Orders books for Apprentice Program and processes payment of invoices. * Provides technical and professional support to the administration of the Leadman/Foreman Assessment/Selection program. Serves as liaison between Talent Acquisition & Development and the various departments that utilizes the assessment screening process. Schedules all Leadman/Foreman Assessments and assigns and schedules assessors, rooms, and paper work. Serves as an Assessment Center assessor and/or administrator, as needed. Maintains materials, equipment and facilities to support the Assessment Center activities. Ensures that data is properly collected and evaluated during the Data Integration Sessions and develops administrative reports accordingly. Provides feedback to candidates on their assessment and interview results. Responsible for verifying and documenting the completion of all requirements that deem the participants eligible for supervisory selection. Ensures that the quality of the screening process is maintained and that all activities are conducted in accordance with standards established by DDI. * Directs company onboarding program for all employees including online onboard tools and day of hire activities. Coordinates with other departments to develop effective schedule of events and presenters. Monitors program for its effectiveness to onboard new employees to the organization and drive company culture. * Conducts training/development sessions covering specific areas such as, but not limited to, on-the-job skills training, new employee orientation, proper use of computers and software, apprenticeships programs, sales and customer services techniques, safety and health practices, interpersonal and public relation skills, refresher training, promotional development, retraining displaced employees and leadership development. Specific involvement with the above training programs is at the direction of the department manager. * Serves as the liaison between the departments and education/instructional providers. * Monitors current trends in talent development and makes recommendations to enhance or modify learning programs to ensure the offerings are timely, relevant and effective. * Identifies need and assists in development and implementation of new and revised recordkeeping systems from manual systems to computer processes. * Travels in state and out of state to colleges to participate in college career fairs representing AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company. * Performs Targeted Selection interviews as needed for Leadman/Foreman, apprentice or labor selection systems. Also serves as an Administrator/Assessor as needed. * Maintains files and records in a neat and organized manner and ensures that this information is always accessible whenever needed. * Registers students for classes and reserve rooms for meetings. Coordinates set-ups for Eagan College classes, Employee Onboarding, and meetings with Employee Services Coordinator. Verifies Eagan College class attendance and enters class evaluations. * Enters information as requested into the various Human Resources databases. * Assists with the preparation of presentations as needed. * Assists with special projects, community events and participates in various operational excellence teams. * Keeps work area clean and orderly. Knows safety rules that apply to the safety of others and to personal safety. Reports malfunction of equipment to proper authority. Performs other work as instructed by supervision. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Must exhibit a B.S. degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development or related field. An official grade transcript from the school will be required. Consideration will also be given to candidates with other B.S. degrees from an accredited four-year college or university, who also possess prior work experience either in employee development or training. * Must exhibit prior work experience in the field of employee development or training. Consideration will also be given to candidates who possess five (5) or more years of prior work experience in Human Resources. * Must exhibit ability to learn. Weight will be given to grades in related courses and previous related experience. * Must exhibit two (2) or more years of prior work experience using advanced functionality of a learning management system (LMS) and the ability to become proficient in the administration of the Company's LMS within six (6) months. * Must exhibit tolerance for stress. The nature of this job requires a person to perform job duties with numerous interruptions. * Must exhibit ability to analyze situations and react in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures. * Must exhibit a proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Substantial prior work experience (more than five (5) years) in the areas of Human Resources, employee development and/or training. * Advanced training or certification in the field of Human Resources or employee development. (Includes M.S degrees, MBA's, SHRM or HRCI certification, related seminars, classroom experiences, etc.) * Training and/or work experience with Targeted Selection or Assessment methods or similar assessment methods. (Certified Targeted Selection Interviewer, Certified Assessor or Certified Administrator). * Exhibit a general understanding of AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company's manufacturing process and products or similar processes and products. * Exhibit the ability to learn technical information such as manufacturing processes, equipment and machinery used in process; to design and implement technical related training programs. * Prior experience working with Human Resources Information Systems such as KRONOS or SAP/SuccessFactors. * Advanced knowledge in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; including experience writing queries and/or macros in these types of applications. * Substantial work experience (more than five (5) years) administering a learning management system (LMS). ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: * Sitting is required for desk activities, data entry, phone use, writing, etc. * Standing and walking are required to copier, file cabinets, study wage jobs, special projects within plant, other offices within the same building, to offices in other buildings. * Climbing stairs required to get to the Communications Department and access various areas within the plant. * Stooping and crouching required to obtain files from low file drawers. * Overhead-reaching occasionally required (up to approximately 60") to access files, supplies, and other items from upper cabinets. * Forward-reaching required to perform desk activities, including filing, using phone, doing paperwork, etc. * Bended-reaching required to access lower file drawers, access files in boxes on floor. * Handling required to manipulate books, files, use phone, etc. * Use of fingers required for using keyboard, phone, calculator, filing, writing, etc. * Talking and hearing required to communicate via phone and person-to-person. * Seeing required for data entry, assuring accuracy and completeness of forms, etc. * Lifting and carrying up to 20# maximum required (manuals, supplies, etc.). Usually weight lifted is less than 5# (files, etc.).
