Position Summary:
Direct the operation of and provide oversight for the Boys & Girls Clubs AmeriCorps Program.

Recruit and support AmeriCorps Members in their efforts to support youth more often by providing a world class club experience. Supervises AmeriCorps Members.

Essential Functions: The Staffing Coordinator will learn all aspects of AmeriCorps rules and regulations and will take ownership of the administrative aspects of Boys & Girls Clubs AmeriCorps grant. Engagement with current and potential AmeriCorps Members on an on-going basis

Recruit, interview, and screen all potential AmeriCorps Members

Develop partnership with local colleges/university to recruit talented AmeriCorps Members

Serve as supervisor to AmeriCorps Members supporting them in their roles

Attend Career Fairs to attract AmeriCorps Members

Attend scheduled meetings to improve recruitment efforts/opportunities

Manage programmatic activities including but not limited to development of policies and procedures, fund development, and case management

Manage, monitor, and track AmeriCorps Member hours for the submission of requests for reimbursement

Work with the finance department regarding the programs operating budget in accordance with the grant award, tracking all grant-related expenditures

Work with HR Director and Training Specialist to facilitate orientation and trainings that align with AmeriCorps regulations and that meet the professional development needs of AmeriCorps Members

Conduct one-on-one supervision sessions and quarterly performance evaluations for all AmeriCorps Members

Maintain AmeriCorps Member records including documentation of service hours and enrollment eligibility

Develop and maintain timekeeping system for all staff who will be charged to the AmeriCorps grant

Collect, review, analyze, and report data on program performance measures

Represents and promotes Boys & Girls Clubs Program in the local community and develops and maintains positive, collaborative working relationships with organizations, businesses, governmental entities, and community agencies in the service delivery area

Bachelors degree in a related field required; AND at least two years of management experience, preferably in a youth serving non-profit organization

Experience with staffing recruitment, management, and development

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities while at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility.

Physical requirements include sight, hearing, and standing. Skills essential for success include speaking, writing and knowledge of the computer. The ability to clearly and concisely exchange/receive ideas, facts and/or technical information with others.

Environment & Working Conditions:

Normal office environment. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. May work on weekends to assist with organizational events.
