Responsibilities

Under the direction of a radiologist, the Ultrasonographer performs diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations accurately, independently, and efficiently. AH123

Qualifications

Education Background

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.

  • Completion of a 2 year or a 4 year program in Ultrasound that is accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Administration Branch of the American Medical Association, and includes a 12-month clinical internship (or equivalent program as determined by the Diagnostic Imaging Director).

Licensure, Registration, Certification

  • Advanced Registry in the modality within 12 months of hire date

  • CPR or BLS is required, must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

  • Requires 30 CME credits every 3 years.

Special Training/Skills

  • Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit/department.

Work Experience

  • At least 1 year previous ultrasound experience, preferred.

Physical Abilities

  • Able to move and position patients in a safe manner.

  • Able to move freely about the department and hospital.

  • Able to differentiate color, preferred.

Physical Demand Level: MediumIn an 8-hour workday, must be able to-Lift / Carry20 to 50 pounds occasionally10 to 25 pounds frequentlyup to 10 pounds constantly

As required, must be able to-Sit, Stand, Walk, Bend, Squat, Kneel, Crawl, Climb and Reach above shoulders

Responsibilities The Clinic Physical Therapy Technician provides assistance to the physical therapist by preparing patients for therapy and cleaning and maintaining department equipment. The Clinic Physical Therapy Technician assists in the daily operational functions of the department and maintains a smooth flow of patient care. Primary Job Responsibilities Prepares, maintains, and cleans treatment areas and equipment: * Maintains a clean and organized working environment. * Process dirty linen. * Makes sure treatment areas are properly stocked with supplies. * Follows established procedures for care and cleaning of equipment.
