Credential Analyst/Credential Program Advisor

You will use your skills to advise students in the Teacher Education program and help finalize their teaching credentials with the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).

Essential Duties of the Credential Analyst at Concordia

The Credential Analyst is the liaison between the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and the university in all CA Teacher credentialing, Educational Administration credentialing, and School Counseling credentialing issues. This position is responsible for implementing CTC credentialing procedures and rules; updating and disseminating credentialing information to students, faculty, and staff; overseeing the management of all credential files; and authorizing the official filing of credentials. In addition, this position serves as an academic credential advisor to all undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students seeking to complete a credential program.

What you need to be qualified for this job:

To be qualified for this job, you need a bachelor's degree, at least one year of related experience and/or training, ability to be flexible to changing conditions posed by ongoing revisions in teacher credential state standards, ability to work effectively with people, and excellent computer skills to maintain accuracy in written communication data entry record keeping.

The candidate will lead the computer simulation of the TMVR design, testing and development. Responsibilities: * Lead the computer simulation efforts for the TMVR program * Perform advanced computational modeling using FEA and / or other simulation techniques * Design and develop minimally invasive transcatheter heart valve repair and replacement technologies * Create anatomic models for understanding of boundary conditions in device design * Perform design, testing and development activities in class-III implantable medical devices in accordance with specifications, medical guidance, and regulatory safety standards * Develop in-vitro test systems and simulations, including the design of equipment and fixtures * Create 3D models and drawing using Creo or SolidWorks * Author technical documents including protocols, reports and technical summaries per quality and regulatory requirements * Working along with project team members and internal partners to establish development and testing strategies and deliver project's technical objectives. #LI-BV1 #MI For a Staff Engineer, the ideal candidate requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering related field; mechanical or biomedical engineering is preferred. Candidates with Bachelor's degree shall have minimum 6 years of experience in product development with emphasis in permanent implant design OR a master's degree in engineering in combination with 5 years of product development experience in the medical device. A Sr. Engineer or Principal Engineer level will be considered for the candidates with matching credentials and experiences. Required Skills: * Expertise in finite element analysis using Abaqus is required * Strong hands-on mechanical and design skills required * Proficient use of 3D CAD package is essential; Prefer hands-on experience with SolidWorks and/or Creo * Experience and expertise in mechanical testing, including material and fatigue testing and life analysis is highly desired. * Knowledge and experience in the design, process and testing of implantable materials such as nitinol is preferred. * Understanding medical device development process, quality system and regulatory process is desired. * Deep understanding of technical details in implantable device testing, including heart valve testing is highly desired. * Experience in develop concepts from prototype through design verification and first human use is highly preferred. * Must have good data analysis skills and technical writing skills including writing procedures, protocols and reports per quality and regulatory requirements. * Must be a highly motivated self-starter able to achieve results with minimal direction * Must be proactive and creative in solving technical problems * Requires an individual who has excellent teamwork, partnering and negotiation skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, project-management skills, detail orientation and analytical/problem solving skills are a must * Demonstrate ability to provide creative design solution to engineering problems * Must demonstrate ability to provide creative design solution to engineering problems * Must possess effective communication skills and work well in cross-functional team environment Edwards Lifesciences Corp Irvine CA
