Schwab's Digital Messaging Technology (DMT) platform is a fast-paced and dynamic distributed technology development team supporting electronic communications (email, push, SMS and Message Center) and reporting using an infrastructure composed of a mix of vendor products and in-house Java and .Net applications in an Agile framework
What you'll do:
You will help onboard new electronic communications by working with various team members on setting up message payload using XML or JSON, apply transformations using XSL, update configuration files, unit testing and collaborating with QA and end users, as well as troubleshooting Java, .Net, Informatica and other products as needed
Participate in designing and implementing web and standalone applications using .NET and modern technologies to support a large, complex, mission-critical application with a particular focus on delivering ESM data to our consumers.
Participate in various software engineering projects using advanced development patterns and component-based architecture.
Actively collaborate with the DMT technical team including development, design, review, integration test and deployment activities.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree from 4-year accredited degree-granting college or university is preferred, or equivalent experience
3+ years of full stack application development experience
Practical knowledge of OOP and distributed environments: .net, XML, web services, MQ & messaging services, Web/Application servers (WebSphere), Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
Experience working with SQL.
Experience with large databases, preferably Oracle a plus.
No SQL (Mongo) experience a plus.
Self-motivated with a passion for resolving technical problems quickly and in line with platform strategy and vision
Effective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
Have a passion for problem-solving, the ability to learn new technologies/adapt to new platforms quickly, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams
Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations
