The Opportunity

Staff Software Engineer Firmware

Marvell is a top five fabless semiconductor company that, through our solutions, moves and stores data faster and more reliably than anyone else. Our solutions transform the enterprise, cloud, automotive, industrial, and consumer markets. To be successful in the position, you need to be a self-starter and be curious about Wireless technology, with a strong desire to be involved in many stages of firmware development. As a member of the Firmware team, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:


BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of firmware architecture, design, development and validation experience preferably in the wireless connectivity.

MS preferred

Hands on experience in hardware firmware co-design and board bring-up experience with SoCs

Proven experience in ARM based firmware development.

Firmware development experience in C/C++, scripting languages

Proven record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality

Must have effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in the following areas would be a plus:

  • Experience in wireless co-existence.

  • Experience in FW development and validation on emulators.

  • Experience with various subsystems such as PCIe, USB, SDIO, I2C, SPI, FLASH

  • Passion to learn and work on next generation technologies.

  • Use of GIT, Jira, Microsoft Office, cross platform development Experience on Windows and Linux Operating Systems.

  • Great analysis and problem-solving skills.
