Staff Software Engineer, Frontend

We've raised $30M+ to date and are backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Greylock, and QED. Located in SF, NYC, Austin, and Bangalore, we're looking to expand our 35+ person team to build the future of eCommerce!

Note: This role is expected to be in-office in San Francisco 3x+ weekly.

What you'll do:

• Own the frontend architecture for consumer-facing and B2B surfaces

• Advocate for, drive consensus, and execute on developer productivity improvements on the frontend

• Develop standards and frameworks to make the correct decision the easy decision for frontend developers

• Develop standards around code sharing and re-use across multiple projects

• Develop and maintain software rails for frontend developers to create new components with backend-driven configuration

• Develop product interfaces for a B2B users to create and edit micro e-commerce websites

• Develop UX and tooling around A/B testing, specifically allowing users to adjust characteristics of shopping experiences and compare to control

• Monitor user interaction patterns and triage user feedback to reduce errors and increase understanding and utility of platform

• Personally write and maintain code hands-on keyboard

• Mentor other engineers on the team

What you are:

• 7+ years of experience building software products

• Experienced with React, Typescript, Graphql and at least one other modern languages used in backend systems

• Able to discuss and debate strategic engineering / product decisions and quickly arrive at the right solution

• Track record of building products that delight users

• Opinionated and correct about which technologies to use, when, and why

• Highly driven to build features and improvements in a secure, well-tested, and performant way

• Strong written and verbal communication

Nice to haves:

• Experience working with ad platforms, eCommerce, website builders, CMS

• Experience with Go, Google cloud
