What you will do

As a Test Engineer, you will lead the design, development and implementation of test systems and test equipment for US and global service depots, to enable the repair of Stryker products around the world. You will be an SME in the electrical and software design of test systems. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, serve as technical lead advisor, and partner with a cross-functional team.

Some of your other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop user requirements

  • Create mechanical and electrical design for test systems

  • Architect, write and debug software for test systems

  • Perform test systems validation

  • Partner with external vendor on design and/or validation, as appropriate

  • Monitor and control progress of projects to ensure sound application of engineering principles are used and design intent is being followed

  • Coordinates with other units, vendors and senior leadership as needed to ensure specific cost, time and/or regulatory standards are met

  • Partner with appropriate other engineering disciplines like Product Engineering, RA, QA, AO, Operations Engineering, Advanced Sourcing, Service Operations Engineering, external vendors and International teams

What you need

  • B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • 6 or more years of experience; Masters of Science with 5 years experience; PhD with 2 or more years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Demonstrated electrical design and software programming expertise (preferred experience with LabVIEW and/or .NET)

  • Expertise in product safety testing (e.g. IEC 60601)

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Demonstrated mechanical/electrical design and problem solving skills

  • Experience working in a regulated industry

What you will do As a Sr. Test Lead, Robotics, you will work with project management, test engineers, and quality engineers on the development and execution of product verification and validation. You will be responsible for the project testing strategy and verification matrix. You will create and implement QA Test Plans and testing related SOPs; Lead and contribute to efforts for test functionalities prior to each release; Prototype and lead implementation of automated testing tools, contributing to decisions on project and infrastructure needs; Identify necessary individuals and collaborative teams to successfully complete the Test Phase. You will also be part of the leadership team to oversee triage of defects and assist in defect investigation and escalationYou will be responsible for walking through the test results with the team and communicate status and reports to project leadership and stakeholders, What you need * Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred. * Minimum of four years of professional QA experience in testing activities for all phases of the testing lifecycle required. * Minimum of two years of professional lead experience required. * Experience designing and evaluating tests required. * Experience with unit testing, test case development, automated regression testing required. * Experience using applications such as Python, C++/C, MATLAB required. * Version control experience required * Detail oriented with strong English written and verbal communication skills. * Advanced Software Tester related Certification, such as ISTQB Advanced Level is preferred. * Continuous integration experience preferred * Experience in Agile Scrum development environment preferred. * Experience in R&D development for a regulated industry, such as medical devices preferred.
