Job Description and Duties

Under general direction provided by the Assistant Division Chief, Payments, Reviews & Administration Branch, Division of Audits (Audits), the Staff Services III (SSM III), through subordinate managers, will direct the program activities of the division's administration bureau. As chief of the administration bureau, the incumbent has full responsibility of the division's budget, contracts, information technology, facilities operation, telecommunication, legislation, management information system, editing, human resources, payroll and attendance, recruitment, and clerical support. Specific duties include, but will not be limited to the following.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the staffing needs of the bureau as it relates to the changing priorities of the division to determine and acquire the necessary staff resources and allocate them in accordance with the bureau's priorities.

  • Monitor and evaluate the activities of the bureau and provide periodic feedback to the subordinate managers and their staff.

  • Plan, direct, and/or coordinate the administrative activities of the bureau through subordinate managers.

  • Work with subordinate managers to develop and improve staff capabilities.

  • Provide a high level of assistance and expertise to the Division Chief and Bureau Chiefs to reach organizational goals, develop division guidelines and policies, and comply with personnel policies.

  • Meet and confer with senior management of the department's other divisions and Executive Office regarding mutual administrative issues.
