Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Director of the California Education Resource Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CERCBVI), the Staff Services Analyst (General) supports the Director, Short Course Program, and other departments in the Education Resource Center to maintain and advance the educational reach of the CSB outreach programs. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing data analysis spreadsheets and tools, facilitating the application and welcoming process of the short course and summer academy programs, collaborating with Education Resource Staff to identify and produce resources, analyze services and areas of need throughout the state, maintaining the school website and being a key contributor to Section 508 compliance on campus. This position also coordinates volunteers, professional development opportunities, and other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
This position is on a 25 acre open school campus serving blind and visually impaired students. This position may be around service animals.
This position requires the following pre-employment clearance:
Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment and or Test
Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) Fingerprint Clearance.
Upon employment offer/acceptance, you will be given more information regarding the required pre-employment clearance documentation.

Department Information
The California School for the Blind provides intensive, disability-specific educational services to students who have primary learning needs related to their visual impairment. The school serves as a statewide resource to provide expertise to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and families in evidenced-based assessment, specialized curriculum, cutting-edge research and technology, and innovative models of instruction that prepare students for adult life. The California School for the Blind is under the State Special Schools and Services Division.
