We have an opportunity in our Tampa, FL office for a Staff Scientist/Engineer, who aspires to become an active employee in a vibrant, well-established company

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform a wide variety of duties for soil and groundwater remediation projects in Florida to include: management, investigation, remediation and monitoring of environmental projects

  • Manage and coordinate emergency response field efforts

  • Support senior staff project managers on a variety of air, soil, emergency response and groundwater compliance projects

  • Plan and implement environmental field work such as monitoring well installation, groundwater monitoring, and due diligence assessments

  • Prepare routine correspondence, data reports, standardized documents and work plans for internal and client review

  • Oversee contractors and other field staff

  • Manage several projects simultaneously involving due diligence, Phase I assessments, Site Assessment, and Site Remediation

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related field

  • 2 plus years of previous project management experience including the management, investigation, remediation and monitoring of environmental projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of environmental procedures and regulations in Florida

  • Sampling, permitting, and compliance experience

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training

  • Willingness to travel

The Staff Engineer will work within the Division of Planning, Design, and Construction as a member of that team in delivering the highest level of customer service to Moffitt Cancer Center. This position will support the team by evaluating the infrastructure requirements necessary to support the end-user#s project, and validating the legitimacy of end-user requests. The Ideal Candidate Experience in the hospital environment with Infection Prevention, Interim Life Safety Measures, and Regulatory Agencies (Florida specific preferred). Experience with scientific research and/or healthcare is highly desirable. Proven familiarity with design, construction, and energy efficiency concepts, practices, and procedures.# Applicant is able to demonstrate their ability to converse and share information at varying levels depending upon the audience.## Knowledge and experience in using AutoCAD, REVIT, E-Builder, Microsoft Project, Lawson or other project and financial management software is highly desirable. Responsibilities: ################## Acting as the facility infrastructure subject matter expert who maintains a view of the current needs and master plan of all campuses. Coordinating essential utility needs of capital projects versus existing available capacities in order to inform# designs and plan for additional capacities; including but not limited to medical gas, medical air, natural gas, water, steam, HVAC, plumbing, normal and emergency electrical systems. Contribute to the successful creation of feasibility, design, pre-construction and construction deliverables.# Including feasibility analysis, schematic drawings, renderings, conceptual estimates, scope documents, RFP#s, contract red-lines,# project schedules, peer review, and any other work product required. Credentials and Qualifications: Bachelor#s degree in Engineering or related field Professional Engineer license is required. May be valid license to practice engineering in another state, must register # obtain State of Florida as a professional engineer license within 6 months of hire At least 10 years of experience in the design and construction of complex building systems as a member of a cross-functional team is required.
