Overview and Responsibilities

To provide individualized nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Medical Center. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate School of Nursing - Accredited Required.

Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred.

  • Experience: No Experience Required.

    Endoscopy Lab: One year Med-Surg nursing required. Endoscopy Lab:

    Critical Care experience preferred. Interventional Radiology: One year Critical Care nursing experience required.

  • License/Certification/Registries (valid for the State of MS): Registered Nurse (RN) Required.

    Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification within 30 Days of Employment Required.

    Basic EKG Required. National Certification Preferred, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Preferred. NICU: NRP required.

    Mother/Baby and Well Baby Nursery: NRP preferred. Labor/Delivery: online Fetal Monitoring course and NRP preferred.

    NICU: STABLE course preferred. PEDS: PALS preferred. Critical Care:

    ACLS preferred. Emergency Department: Trauma Nurse Curriculum and PALS preferred.

    Oncology: Chemotherapy preferred. Interventional Radiology: ACLS required.
