Independently obtains and maintains records of continuing education activities sufficient to meet licensing requirements for GA Board of Nursing.

Creates personal goals for lifelong learning and professional growth. Conducts self-assessment of performance and identifies own learning needs; assesses performance of others.

Identifies ethical issues in practice and takes appropriate action.

Refers to, consults with, and makes provision for continuity of care with other health care providers. Consults with other health care providers to ensure continuity of care. Uses evidence-based guidelines and policies to change own professional practice.

Participates in established quality improvement studies and/or activities for patient safety and quality measures; continuously prepared for scheduled and unannounced surveys from the Joint Commission, the State of Georgia, and other external organizations. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities, License Or Certification Required Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.

Minimum of one (1) year experience in lactation. National Certification in Specialty (IBCLC). Advanced problem-solving skills. Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). Knowledge Skills And Abilities/License Or Certification Preferred BSN degree in Nursing Other preferred RN attributes per unit leadership.
