Staff RNs must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be eligible to take the Idaho State Nursing Board examination or to receive licensure by reciprocity.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for direct and indirect age appropriate patient assessment, care planning, patient care, and monitoring of patient outcomes.

• Collaborates with all patient care providers and the patient/family in the development of the patient care plan.

• Reports patient status to the patient's physician and/or LIP.

• Obtains orders for care.

• Provides age appropriate teaching to patients/families with accommodations for their individual learning needs.

• Responsible for mentoring of students, novice nurses and peers.

• Demonstrate safe and competent nursing care that is consistent with Gritman's Mission, Vision, and Values

Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Must have valid Idaho nursing license or compact state nursing license

• BLS and ACLS required. NRP, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC required within one year of employment

• ABLS, ATCN, CEN/CPEN encouraged
