Description

Responsibilities:

Adapting and developing best MCM design and full module co-simulation practices.

Designing customized semi-lumped RF matching networks, couplers, and biasing networks for RF frontend transmitting and receiving circuits with Power Amplifiers(PA) and Low Noise Amplifiers(LNA).

Designing multiplexing networks and filters with acoustic resonators(SAW&BAW), Integrated Passive devices(IPD), and Surface Mounted Devices(SMD).

Designing high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module and able to meet stringent requirements such as de-sense, RF leakage, and harmonics.

Participating and conducting design review meeting.

Performing lab testing and tuning and using various RF test equipment.

Required Experience and Skills:

BSEE and 5 years work experience or MS and 3 years' experience or PhD.

Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook.

Experiences of EM tools such as HFSS, or Momentum.

Lab experiences of network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and probe station.

Knowledge of HBT, FET, CMOS devices.

Knowledge of RF switch design, or power amplifier design, or PA classes, PAE, PA performance.

Knowledge of communication standards, such as LTE-A, WiFi, and the associated standards requirements on such as sensitivity, intermodulation, de-sense, ACLR, EVM".

Relevant courses: RF/Microwave Engineering, RF circuit design, RF Principles and Applications, RF System Design for wireless systems, Signals and Systems, RFIC design, Antenna Theory and Design.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Experience in ADS, Virtuoso, and Allegro.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600 - $210,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
