Staff Reliability Engineer

For NPD projects, the engineer is to work with Design, Technology, PE, TE, and Package teams on Design-for-Reliability & Design-in-Quality, driving systematic lessons learned, Rel risk assessment and mitigation, develop/document/execute the reliability strategy and qualification plans for new products. Participate weekly NPD meetings with cross functional teams.

Participate in Design Review, Technology Development, and Product Validation Process: Provide engineering inputs to improve product Reliability & Quality.

Work closely with PE and TE to review test coverage, test limit and test program readiness and ensure test quality in the Qualification process & release

For improving quality of a product or debugging technical issues, the engineer gets involved in design of experiments (DOE), characterization and validation. Results from these DOEs will be employed to improve the quality and reliability of products.

Be Responsible for drift analysis of the Qualification tests, electrical data analysis of the qualification rejects and qual reject disposition with cross functional team's feedback

In case of failures happening during Qual stress tests, the engineer has to perform 1st level failure analysis for reliability failures and teamwork with Product Engineer, Sub-con & Foundry, Packaging, Technology, and Design teams for root cause analysis and request corrective or preventive actions if applicable.

The job requires the engineer to participate in assessment of Qual Material Readiness and Test program readiness required to release qualification materials into qualification process. The engineer should write clear and complete Qual readiness report and risk assessments, and also reliability qualification reports.

The engineer also works with BE Ops, PKG/Assembly, and TE/PE on Qualification of MP changes; to develop, document and to execute the reliability strategy and qualification plans for MP changes. Participate Qual meeting & BE ops meetings with cross functional teams. Support Reliability functions for RMA customer returns & risk assessment.
