  • Manage the planning, execution, and tracking/reporting of all technical aspects of the engineering development for airborne reconnaissance and ground intelligence systems. This includes leading the efforts of a cross functional engineering team for all non-recurring engineering development activities (from requirements through integration and test) and acting as the key technical interface between Program Management and Engineering.

  • Manage the engineering product development process through major program milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, and CDR).

  • Coordinate and drive engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion while providing updates to the Program Management Office and senior leadership.

  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Provide critical evaluation of technical and programmatic tasks.

  • Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) duties including Earned Value Management analysis of cost and schedule metrics.

  • Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and lead the engineering planning for proposal activities.

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for all aspects of the business (Supply Chain, Operations, Integration and Test, etc.).

  • Support preventive and corrective action planning and implementation.

  • Support new product introduction into Manufacturing.


  • BS in Engineering or equivalent required.


  • 7+ years of Project Engineering experience.

  • Experience with non-recurring engineering development.

  • Leadership of cross functional engineering teams.

  • Experience with proposal efforts including BOE generation and review of engineering BOEs for technical content and estimation.

  • Experience with Engineering Change process and forms.

  • Experience with EVMS and Control Account Management.

  • Presenting to US Government and/or end-users.


  • Ability to lead cross-discipline engineering teams and create a cohesive team environment.

  • Ability to quickly modify technical direction and planning in an environment of changing business and program priorities.

  • Self-motivated and organized.

  • Ability to learn on the fly and come up to speed quickly with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to clearly communicate direction, status, and urgency to the program team.

  • Ability to review detailed information in relation to the overall program perspective.

  • Excellent written and presentation skills.

  • MS Office products (including Project).
