Essential Functions:

  • Assisting MAS Material Cost Management teams with material analysis utilizing skills in SAP

  • Ensure Earned Value Management principles and EVM Command Media are being followed on MAS Programs

  • Provide homeroom support for Earned Value excellence and assist in closure of CARs and ICARs

  • Spearhead IPT knowledge sharing, reviewing data, and explaining capabilities in the new SAP GPD MRP environment

  • Create MAS MCM Training modules to facilitate common processes across programs

  • Support Material Cost Management interests in GPD post implementation and stabilization efforts

  • Provide consultation to program material cost management teams regarding Master Schedule loads, grouping strategies, and requirements validations

  • Perform independent Estimates-At-Complete (IEAC) for material content within the MAS Programs

  • Support MAS Profitability meetings

  • Drive communization across MAS Programs for Material Cost Management processes and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 15 years of business management experience or Master's Degree and 13 years of business management experience.

  • Prior program experience in Material Cost Management supporting the Global Supply Chain organization.

  • Candidate must have an understanding of, and adherence to, company policies, procedures and internal controls (e.g. Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), NG System Description requirements, etc.).

  • Highly Experienced in SAP skills, queries, reports, Material Grouping strategies.

  • Experience in ERP system implementations and enhancements.

  • Knowledge of new program start up and involvement in program long lead material requirements.

  • Experienced with Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM).

  • Experienced in CAM Earned Value Proficiency Training Modules for Material and Subcontracts.

  • Advanced MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Familiar with Supplier SDRL requirements and EVM flow downs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Material Cost Management experience on level 1 EVMS program Cost. Management experience on a major production program.

  • Experience in determining Material Assessments of high/low value material.

  • Ability to Create and Edit Excel Marcos, Pivots, and Slicers tools.

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Sector is seeking a Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst on our Space Systems Division Cost Management team in Redondo Beach, CA. The Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst will report to the Manager of Project Controls and will be responsible for supporting Northrop Grumman Corporation Aerospace System (NGAS) programs in compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements and program implementation. This role requires the candidate to have an active TS and/or SSBI/SCI Clearance. Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Set up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system * Maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance including cost/schedule integration * Perform analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines * Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVMS system in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines * Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities including: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting * Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required * Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting * Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baseline Basic Qualifications: * An active TS and/or SSBI/SCI Clearance * Bachelor's Degree with 10 years' experience in Business, Finance and/or Accounting in cost control; OR Master's Degree with 8 years of stated experience * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint * Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Preferred Qualifications: * Proficiency of the following systems or software: Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) or similar project management software, wInsight, SAP Management Project Systems Module and Business Warehouse (BW) Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
