Staff Product Manager - Solutions Architect

About the Team

The VIZIO Software Product Management team is looking for a Solutions Architect to provide design, deployment, integration, and troubleshooting support for key App partners to publish and optimize their apps for the VIZIO Platform.

What You Will Do

As a Solutions Architect, you will focus on knowing about every part of the VIZIO Software stack including hardware architecture, operating system architecture, security practices, App onboarding, and integrating with VIZIO's payment platform for subscriptions and other digital goods. You will help launch partners Apps on VIZIO TVs to expand the content catalog available on VIZIO TVs to end customers.

At the time of the launch, you will be working closely with VIP customers and larger service provider partners to help them deploy the new solution successfully. You will provide design, integration, and deep troubleshooting support to these Tier 1 customers during initial deployments. You will work as a trusted advisor for VIZIO's customers and partners.

Within VIZIO, you will work closely with engineering and product management teams to plan solution releases, experiment in lab environments, and ultimately support products post-launch. You will develop, design, and deploy best practices for the new features and solutions. You will work as an escalation engineer addressing critical issues reported by customers and partners.

As a Solution Architect, you work closely with VIZIO's Business Development and Partner Success teams to provide customer feedback on newly launched features as well as support pre-sales or post-sales activities. Additionally, you'll evaluate VIZIO against competitor products to clearly demonstrate VIZIO's advantages and differentiation and explain to partners the best tests to use when evaluating potential products.

About You

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, App development, operating system) experience.

• 3+ years of design, implementation, documentation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military.

• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. video applications, Apps and Appstores and data & analytics).

• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in the field of digital video or Apps.

• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working as a Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer or Network Engineer.

• Familiarity with broadband internet technologies.

• Basic knowledge of hardware, embedded software, cloud software, and security best practices.

• Experience in deploying and troubleshooting Video applications.

• Comfortable in at least one scripting language.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Organized and detailed oriented..

• Analytical - able to self-serve from existing data sources and collect new data from any source as required.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $130,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $168,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $124,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
