Zenni Optical is looking for a Staff Product Manager of eCommerce to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the eCommerce strategy for the company and playing an instrumental role in the continued success of Zenni. As the Official Eyewear of the San Francisco 49ers, Call of Duty League and the Chicago Bulls, Zenni is at the forefront of the sports industry. Collaborating with tastemakers and designers such as Iris Apfel, Rashida Jones, Cynthia Rowley, Coco + Breezy and George and Claire Kittle, Zenni brings unique collections and curation to their customers. As the Staff Product Manager of eCommerce, you will be leading the charge to bring this amazing product to even more customers.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Product Manager to lead the development and execution of our e-commerce strategy. As a key member of the technology team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the product strategy and roadmap for our e-commerce site, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering a world-class user experience for our site customers. This will include owning product feature prioritization and making decisions that will optimize towards growing revenue and improving customer experience. You will create hypotheses for extending the platform's capabilities, validate hypotheses via testing, analysis, and research, and iterate from MVP to more extensible versions. You will define requirements, measure key results, track experiments, and frequently roll out new features. You will be data-driven and make decisions accordingly.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and customer support, to bring products to market and drive growth. Your goals will not be easy to achieve; they should inspire and motivate the team to think big. You will be driving significant business impact and will be compensated for that.

You understand how product teams work, are comfortable with a fast pace, and manage many concurrent efforts. You have experience working with a large cross-functional team. Most of all, you love solving hard technical, product, and people challenges to make a difference in the lives of other people.

You are expected to drive forward workstreams and initiatives with minimal guidance. You are a strategic thinker, able to communicate effectively up to team leaders & Directors; understanding when, and to whom communications are required. This requires practicing clear, succinct top-down communication that provides your leadership with clear direction on decisions required so issues are framed appropriately to the audience’s point of view.

What we want you to own in this role:

  • Lead the development of the e-commerce site strategy and product roadmap, consistently evaluating opportunities for improvement and growth, while ensuring alignment with company objectivesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features, balancing customer needs with technical feasibility and business goals
  • Make creative and data informed recommendations, aligned with company strategy, to improve customer experience
  • Move fast and shift constantly - measure results, then iterate based on learnings
  • Develop detailed product requirements, business cases, and product launch plans
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products
  • Conduct regular user testing to validate product concepts and validate product-market fit
  • Understand and explain complex technical issues, discern impact, and communicate them to maximize clarity and drive resolution
  • Define and track key performance metrics to measure product success and drive continuous improvement
  • Communicate product vision and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies, industry trends, and user behaviors to inform product strategy and development.

Requirements

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, etc.)
  • 6+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on e-commerce products
  • Proven track record of delivering successful e-commerce products, from concept to launch
  • Data analysis proficiency and experience using data to inform product decisions
  • An entrepreneurial spirit based in a passion for learning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A strong sense of ownership with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and data analytics
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to product development
  • 7+ years of tech industry experience - e.g., Software as a Service, AdTech, MarTech, or HR Tech
  • Highly proficient user of spreadsheet and data analysis software (e.g.Confluence, Slack, Jira, Looker, Similarweb, ContentSquare)

As of 01/01/2024, the expected salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Company’s business needs.
