We are seeking a highly skilled and driven power electronics engineer to join us in the development of cutting-edge technologies from concept to mass production. You will have the opportunity to contribute to drive inverter power electronics design.
Develop, characterize, and validate high voltage power semiconductors for traction inverter applications
Measure and analyze data including switching waveforms, losses and thermal performance
Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, PCBA, reliability, manufacturing and firmware engineering teams to optimize inverter switching, loss, reliability and thermal behavior
Collaborate with suppliers to develop next generation inverter
Design, implement, and validate solutions for EMC, reliability, and manufacturing
Start to finish ownership of hardware - from specification to design, prototype, reliability testing and high-volume manufacturing
Solve challenges at scale to achieve industry leading reliability and efficiency in the world's highest production volume EV drive inverters
Eight years industry experience in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with high power higher than 50kW and high voltage higher than 300V application
Experience with high voltage power semiconductors including wide bandgap devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs or GaNs etc.)
Hands on experience with double pulse testing and thermal characterization
Experience with scripting for data processing and test automation, e.g. MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW
Familiarity with gate drive and protection circuit design for high voltage power semiconductors
Proficiency with standard EE tools (scopes, network analyzers, signal generators, DAQs, etc.)
