Advanced Clinician, Physical Therapist

Full-Time

Overview:

Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation and Performance is actively seeking an advanced level clinician physical therapist for our Acute Care division. As a member of our renowned acute care physical therapy team, you will provide care for a diverse range of patients of all ages.

Upon referral by a physician, you will evaluate patient condition, determine the appropriate treatment plan and set rehabilitation goals. Educating patients and family members on the most up-to-date approaches to the rehabilitation process will be an important part of this role.

Candidates need to be experienced in adult inpatient orthopedic physical therapy with knowledge of adult orthopedic surgeries and post-operative guidelines.

Along with clinical expertise, this position requires strong communication, team building, mentoring and leadership skills. The candidate will be a dynamic self-starter and have excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

To qualify you will need a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, a current NYS license. At least 3 years of experience is preferred.

Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are also vital. Experience in leadership or senior positions is preferred.
