Position Description

  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans

  • Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas

  • Maintains confidential information, documentation, and assigned records as required

  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity

  • Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and standards.

  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions

  • Provides comprehensive patient care to customers

  • Provides pharmaceutical care to Customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling Customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, maintaining controlled medication and required documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).

  • Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program (for example, APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).

  • Pharmacy license (by job entry date).

VIEW JOBS 11/21/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-19T00:00 ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Activities include but are not limited to the following: * Manage the entire month-end close process for all companies, and insure entries are being posted accurately and on schedule. Keep Controller and Assistant Controller aware of concerns and action being taken to address those concerns. * Prepare all monthly intercompany transactions in accordance with various written contracts. * Review all journal entries prepared by the Accounting Specialist, and post into the General Ledger if backup is sufficient to substantiate the transaction. * Analyze, reconcile, and test revenue accounts based on documented rate sheets from various funding agencies. Maintain a master rate sheet with the most current numbers. * Review Balance Sheet reconciliations as they are prepared by the Accounting Specialist, and approve if evidence is sufficient to substantiate the account balance. * Complete seasonal and other projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller, including but not limited to CFR preparation and review, AHCF Cost reporting, General Ledger maintenance, process streamlining, and software implementations. * Provide proactive leadership in the development, support and achievement of the Agency's strategic goals and Division work plans. Participate in Agency strategic planning process. * Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employees and assimilates new employees to the Agency's culture, values and mission. * Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and Agency regulations and operating standards. * Participate in financial audits by independent auditors and external government agencies. REQUIRED SKILLS * Strong communication skills are required. The Staff Accountant must be able to communicate complex information in an understandable manner, across all levels of the organization. * Strong math skills are required. The Staff Accountant must be able to analyze and summarize large amounts of data quickly and accurately. * The Staff Accountant must be able to interpret regulations and prepare work in accordance with them. * The Staff Account must be knowledgeable in all financial transactions of UCP and its affiliates. Must have a strong technical accounting background and knowledge of GAAP and SED, OPWDD, DOH, and OMH cost manuals. * Data validation using statistical sampling and logic formulas, reads and interprets regulations and identifies instances where one conflicts with another, creates various exception reports and troubleshoots errors. * Must continuously review and streamline processes, approval by Assistant Controller. Must be able to identify problems and their solutions. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent. * At least 1-year of Accounting experience. * Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel). * Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted. * This position does not have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is not required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities), OMH (Office of Mental Health) or OCFS (Office of Children & Family Services). WORK ENVIRONMENT/HAZARDS * Job related tasks do not involve exposure or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue and Category I tasks are not a condition of employment. May have exposure to unpredictable individuals and situations when working at Upstate Cerebral Palsy sites. * OSHA Exposure Category III. PHYSICAL DEMANDS * The employee must have full sight and hearing with fluency in the English language. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. * The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit.
