STAFF PHARMACIST - PER DIEM

SMOKEY POINT BEHAVIORAL HOSPITAL

MARYSVILLE, WA

Hours: This position will be working as needed to cover PTO.

As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist, you will provide support for clinical programs and practices within the hospital as well as fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

About the Facility: Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital is a 115 bed hospital and provides specialized mental health and substance abuse treatment.

They offer specialized programs proven to decrease symptoms of mental illness in an inpatient setting. Washington's newest behavioral hospital, is located in Marysville, Washington, just minutes from the beautiful emerald city of Seattle. The Pharmacy is management by CPS.

All Pharmacy staff are employees of CPS. The Pharmacy will be open 8:00am - 6:00pm M-F, Sa-Su 8am-2pm. Pharmacy automation include MedHost and Pyxis.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or Pharm D degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy

  • Current WA Pharmacist license in good standing

  • Minimum 1 year recent experience beyond the internship as a Pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting preferred

  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns

  • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
