Staff Pharmacist - Part Time

Hours: 4 consecutive days per 2 week pay period to include every other weekend. Will also be On-Call for the evenings/overnights on the days you are working a shift. There is additional compensation for On-Call coverage.
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist, you will provide support for clinical programs and practices within the hospital as well as fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. You will expected to work some weekends and some holidays.
Banner Lassen Medical Center is a critical access 25 bed not-for-profit hospital located in Susanville, California and operated by Banner Health. BLMC provides 24/7 emergency care, general medical and surgical services, cancer care, ICU, maternal, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and a number of other related services.

The Centralized Pharmacy is open 7am-3:30pm (M-F), 7am-3:30pm (Sat,) 8am-12pm (Sun). After hours is supported by Remote Order Entry. The Pharmacy currently is supported by Cerner and Pyxis automation, EMAR and BVM . In addition to the Director, there are 2 Pharmacists and 2 Technicians.
The Pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. All staff are employees of CPS.
BS or Pharm D degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Current CA Pharmacist license in good standing
Minimum 1 year recent experience beyond the internship as a Pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting
Experience with IV preparation/compunding required
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
