Staff Pharmacist

Heritage Valley Health System is currently hiring a full-time inpatient pharmacist for our Sewickley location. We are looking for a motivated pharmacist to join our team.

Hours of operation at the pharmacy are 6AM- 10PM. Pharmacists work rotating shifts. Pharmacist are involved in central pharmacy workflow, along with Critical Care Rounds, Antibiotic Stewardship, and other clinical responsibilities.

This position will procure, prepare and distribute medications and maximize patient care in a safe, accountable, cost effective manner. This position is responsible to provide consultative and drug information services to the medical staff, nursing staff, and the community. This position is required to work with the management staff to continuously monitor and improve the medication use process.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania

Must have the ability to expertly communicate verbally and in writing.

Must be adaptable to change.

Must know and understand the law as it applies to hospital practices.

Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Preferred

Two years of hospital experience.
