Staff Performance Engineer
What you get to do in this role:
You will be required to assess Business Problems, Technical problems, and come up with best fit solution, develop the solution and deploy the solution across enterprise.
You will be required to work with IT Operations team and deliver these solutions at scale and deploy this for multiple teams
You will find ways to remediate outages or enhance performance on the ServiceNow platform
You will get to utilize tools like BigData, Splunk, Elk, and others to map out metrics and identify trends on transactional throughput, memory, CPU, job processing, and disk utilization to devise self-detect and self-healing solutions.
You will use database optimization skills to tune the database, add indexes, maintain tables and data, and understand execution plans to recommend better formed queries.
You will work and coordinate between different internal teams (Development, Quality Engineers, Platform, Business Units, Load test team) to reproduce performance issues and find root cause analysis.
8 to 12 years of industry experience with minimum of 4 years in performance engineering
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues
Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
Experience analyzing java heap and thread dumps
Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack
Experience writing or debugging OO code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok)
Experience administering: Linux/Unix OR Microsoft Server
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems
Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues
A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB
Working experience and good understanding of ServiceNow platform
Working knowledge of Cloud Platform and Technologies
Working experience troubleshooting and optimizing web-based applications
Experience in delivering SaaS support
Capability to obtain US Public Trust Position Adjudication
Ideal candidate has a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
