Staff Performance Engineer

What you get to do in this role:

  • You will be required to assess Business Problems, Technical problems, and come up with best fit solution, develop the solution and deploy the solution across enterprise.

  • You will be required to work with IT Operations team and deliver these solutions at scale and deploy this for multiple teams


  • You will find ways to remediate outages or enhance performance on the ServiceNow platform

  • You will get to utilize tools like BigData, Splunk, Elk, and others to map out metrics and identify trends on transactional throughput, memory, CPU, job processing, and disk utilization to devise self-detect and self-healing solutions.

  • You will use database optimization skills to tune the database, add indexes, maintain tables and data, and understand execution plans to recommend better formed queries.

  • You will review Javascript and Java application code to fix performance concerns and help define best performing code practices for developers.

  • You will work and coordinate between different internal teams (Development, Quality Engineers, Platform, Business Units, Load test team) to reproduce performance issues and find root cause analysis.

Required Skills

  • 8 to 12 years of industry experience with minimum of 4 years in performance engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues

  • Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)

  • Experience analyzing java heap and thread dumps

  • Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack

  • Experience writing or debugging OO code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok)

  • Experience administering: Linux/Unix OR Microsoft Server

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service

  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems

  • Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues

Preferred Skills

  • A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB

  • Working experience and good understanding of ServiceNow platform

  • Working knowledge of Cloud Platform and Technologies

  • Working experience troubleshooting and optimizing web-based applications

  • Experience in delivering SaaS support

  • Capability to obtain US Public Trust Position Adjudication

  • Ideal candidate has a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

VIEW JOBS 3/25/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-23T00:00 Responsibilities: * Own New product development for high speed CMOS products within Operations working with cross functional team * Collaborate with Design, Test, Foundry, Validation and Reliability Engineering to drive NPI DFM to meet product quality, cost and manufacturing requirements * Characterize performance/yield of New products including bench correlation to meet product cost targets * Perform in-depth data analysis on characterization and production data to identify product issues and limits during the NPI process * Support bench test bring up within Operations to drive yield and test coverage improvement during NPI phase. * Define and drive yield improvement initiatives by PVT characterization, process targeting and ATE/Bench correlation * Collaborate with Design, Test, Validation, Reliability Engineering and Supply Chain to meet various NPI deliverables, schedule and milestones. * Provide cost analysis and project product cost based on design, process, package, test and Marketing requirements * Coordinate with Planning/Packaging teams to come up with NPI sample build plans for engineering, customer samples and qual * Provide regular NPI Ops status update to cross-functional team * Work with HVM PE on yield improvement and test time reduction to meet product cost targets * Work with HVM Product & Test Engineering to ensure NPI meets production release requirements and successful bring up at OSAT. * Identify and drive production capacity improvement needs via test time reduction, test optimization, first pass retest rate reduction, qualifying alternate sources.... * Provide product engineering support to customer returns working laterally with Quality, Design and Test engineering in a timely manner. Qualification: * Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a proven track record of transitioning products from NPI to volume production. * 10+ years of experiences with high speed IC NPI; specifically, in product engineering and package assembly with focus on yield, cost and manufacturing process improvements. * Experience with complex data analysis using JMP, Galaxy, Data conductor, or other semiconductor yield tools. * Proven record of product engineering leadership resulting in quantifiable improvements in quality, yield, cost or process. * Deep understanding of semiconductor processes and package assembly knowledge to drive product yield and performance. Desired Skills / Experience: * Proven record of successfully taking complex and advanced node design from NPI to production stage; solving complex yield product issues working with Design/Test teams, driving cost reduction etc. * Working knowledge on advanced CMOS process technology nodes, 7nm and below * Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency in yield analysis tools such as PDF, Galaxy, Yield-hub etc. * Prior experience/background in known good die (KGD) probing at highspeed and KGD backend will be preferred * Good understanding of semiconductor product's NPI process, deliverables and milestones * Scripting knowledge and working with bench equipment/setup is a plus * Strong written and verbal communications skills.
