Responsibilities

  • Directs program and process synchronization on wide range of issues to include support, internal management, information management, and staff actions, both internal and external to the organization.

  • Directs multi-directorate staffing and implementation of plans, programs, internal policies and processes to facilitate organizational priorities.

  • Manages the internal, sustainment and long-range planning and operations with a focus on budget and POM.

  • Provides overall management of services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual and fiscal year planning, and development of annual work plans.

  • Assists the Commander in providing senior level direction and management oversight for the development and execution of Command strategy for all matters pertaining to Civilian Human Resources (CHR) management.

  • Advises the commander on civilian personnel issues, acts as the overall senior advisor of CHR functions.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Special Compartmented Information (SCI) access.

  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.

  • Position requires travel and temporary duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, possibly for extended periods of time.

  • Must pass a pre-employment deployable physical.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
